Three speed bicycles have always been my favorite so you can imagine how happy I was when they introduced the 3 speed and the 7 speed bicycle into the beach cruisers line of bicycles.  I have always had trouble with those external shifters so my personal preference is the internal hub three speeds.  But  sometimes those don't jump right into gear when you need that extra 3 speed assist.  However, keep in mind that you are riding a beach cruiser.  Beach Cruisers are meant for leisurely rides in the park or enjoyable family bicycling. 

So sit back and enjoy the ride of one of those beach cruiser bicycles with the large balloon tires, painted rims, flowered decals, big pedals, and upright handlebars.  Enjoy the big seat to enjoy the ride with and smile  while you take that beach cruiser down the boardwalk.
